Business Buyers Institute · Last updated 17 August 2026

This policy explains how Business Buyers Institute ("the Institute", "we", "us") collects, uses, holds and discloses personal information, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). By using this website or providing your details, you consent to the practices described here.

What we collect

  • Details you give us: your name, email address and phone number when you register for an information session, complete a survey or enquiry form, book a call, or download the information pack.
  • Details collected automatically: device and browser information, pages visited, video viewing activity and approximate location, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
  • Communications: records of emails, SMS messages and calls between you and us, including notes from your agency blueprint call.

How we use it

  • To deliver what you asked for: session registrations, the information pack, call bookings and reminders.
  • To communicate with you about the Institute, including marketing emails and SMS you can opt out of at any time.
  • To understand how the website and our advertising perform, and to improve both.
  • To meet legal obligations and keep proper business records.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, including our customer relationship platform, email and SMS providers, calendar and booking tools, video hosting, analytics and advertising platforms. Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States, and by providing your details you consent to that transfer.

Advertising and cookies

We use cookies and advertising pixels, including those of Meta and Google, to measure campaigns and show relevant advertising. You can limit tracking through your browser settings and the ad preference tools those platforms provide.

Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, and we keep it only as long as it is needed for the purposes above or as the law requires.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the link in any email or by replying STOP to any SMS. If you have a privacy concern, contact us first and we will do our best to resolve it. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
